Import settings from Thunderbird

#1

Hi,

Thanks for Mailpile, it’s a great tool. I’m a beginner, so I have a question for the community. I have a Thunderbird application installed on my computer with numerous mailboxes accounts, but I want to get rid of it and use Mailpile instead. Is there a mean to export Thunderbird settings (imap/pop etc…), and import them in Mailpile ? I saw this : https://github.com/mailpile/Mailpile/wiki/Synchronizing-Mailpile-with-Thunderbird but it seems to talk about synchronisation, which is not what I’m looking for, as I want to delete my Thunderbird application at the end.
Thanks for your help !

Anyone?, very important question, i think most of the users are coming from Thunderbird, and there is no reliable description on how to make it right.

Edit:

Ok, probable figured out, there is a unencrypted folder “mail” in:

~/.local/share/Mailpile/default/mail/{cur,new,tmp}

Probable all mail files should be copied to this folders in maildir format.
(should change format in thunderbird settings in case it is set to mbox convert it to maildir)

It will be good to document somewhere this process.
